FORUM FORENSICS Ensure the safety and compliance of your building in Florida with a Milestone Inspection.

What is a Milestone Inspection?

A milestone inspection is an inspection of the building's structural integrity. It includes a review of the load-bearing walls and other structural elements designed to support and stabilize the overall structure. It is a rigorous inspection for buildings, especially condominiums and cooperatives, that are three stories or higher. It is essential in ensuring the durability and safety of structures in Florida. In May 2022, the Florida government implemented mandatory structural inspections for aging condominiums (Statue section 553.899) called " milestone inspections" to ensure building safety. This ensures the safety of the patrons who inhabit the structure and plays a pivotal role in the overall integrity of the structure.
